Hey You Guys, I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this group of nurses from all over the U.S.. I have somehow been nurtured and instructed. It feels good. It started out with a med error and has ended up in to something much more. I have found common feelings and experiences. I somehow feel connected to a much bigger picture or problem (Hee-hee!). Since graduating, I have pretty much felt alone. When we are in school we have each other to lean on. We have each other to cry and stress out with and we can vent with honesty. Then, we graduate and go out into the big sea alone. We get into the fast pace of life and forget about our common bond. This has been very nice. I like to sit and listen to your discussions about our profession. I too think about what is wrong with our profession and where things are going wrong with nursing. I have great concerns over bringing in immigrant nurses to fix our nursing shortage in the States. I feel it is and will continue to make things worse. Our American nursing culture should be protected and preserved. I feel as though, our institutions our pushing us aside and saying, "Quit complaining, don't even think about rebelling, we will just get nurses from other countries who will be thankful to work under conditions such as this." So the problems never get resolved. They only continue to get worse. Just one of my concerns. Nurse4God.
