I had a work injury and eventually a Fusion. I am now on a permanent weight lifting restriction of 25 pounds and no repetative bending. I have been doing all my Nursing duties for the last two years, but I recently left the hospital I was working for, not realizing I would have a problem finding another job. I now find that no one will hire me with this restriction. Do I have to leave Nursing? I love patient care, I am heart broken. Please help! Any ideas out there?

I only apply to positions that meet (or come close to meeting) my restrictions, there are tons of direct patient care positions that can satisfy your limits if you look outside the hospitals. And jobs that don't meet them on paper often have a work around (ie; squatting isn't bending).
