Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a union into my hospital? I work for a hospital in Southern California that is anti-union. Apparently about 1-2 years ago people tried to get a union, many nurses signed for one and the union came to talk to people. I think the hospital CEO and company are just too anti-union. I am not planning to stay at this job for long, but I would love it if the nurses here could have the option of a union. We are one of the few (if not the only) hospital in the county that does not have a union and for sure the lowest paid in the county (some range to $2 more an hour to $15 more an hour starting pay an hour). Can anyone suggest a specific union or know how to get one to come to the hospital? Anyone done something similar?

Often over time nurses at a hospital decide to learn about a union and become ready.
Try this link for California Nurses Association (CNA) information. It inclused a link for nurses outside California too.
I am now retired. Decades ago I helped my hospitals nurses choose to join CNA. It was, and remains a positive choice that improves patient care and nurse's working conditions, pay, and benefits.
