is nursing for me?

College student, 20, taking pre-req for nursing at community college. Will be transferring to University.

All my life I have wanted to go to school for nursing. When I went to college, I did well in my other classes, especially my psychology classes with As, but when it came to Anatomy I had a lot of trouble. I retook it, and made it through the whole semester unlike the first time I did, but did not get the required grade for nursing. (B-). I am now in Phsyiology and need a B- for nursing. I will be transferring to a university, and they have a spot for me in nursing if I get the B- in physiology.. I will then need to retake anatomy for the 3rd time, at the university.

I am wondering if nursing is for me. I would really love to be a nurse because I love children, and helping others feel great and healthy. My back up plan would be to major in HDF- Human Development and Family Studies, and possibly work with children in that field. It sucks because I do not want to give up on Nursing. I know I can do anything, but I feel like nursing may not be for me because I do not find interest in what I have learned in anatomy and physiology so far. Psychology has been my only class I have enjoyed...

What does it take to be a nurse? I want to be a pro on anatomy and Physiology, but my brain does not retain/understand the information. I feel like a failure. I have always told others and encouraged them that they can do anything they want... just like my father once told me.. but I feel that I am unable to do so.
