Hello everyone,I an really not a new member, but i have been inactive. I love this site because it gives you all the information you need. Everything you want to know about nursing, you can find it here. I hope to more active now. First, i am a nursing student. I am due to graduate in Dec 2006. I want to take my LPN exam now so i can start working as an LPN during the summer and make more money. What should i do? ANy advice?ALSO, ALL PEDIATRICS NURSES, CAN I HAVE SOME INPUT PLEASE? tHE PROS AND CONS. tHANKS A LOT.

fry.girl 446 Posts Mar 10, 2006 I would suggest contacting the board of nursing in your state directly. They will be able to tell you. I just completed the first year of an ASN program in December '05 and sat the PN boards for Missouri in February.Best Wishes,

I tried contacting them but the state of louisiana does not offer that possibility. That is why i am researching to see if any other state will let me do it. CONGRATULATIONS on your success. I bet it feels good. How was the exam though? Hard?
ERNurse752, RN 1,323 Posts Has 8 years experience. Mar 10, 2006 If the dean of your school didn't know anything about it, it sounds like it may not be possible. But check with your state board of nursing just to be sure.Check out the Pediatric forum on this website...lots of good info from Peds nurses there.Good luck!
