Hi everyone! Just wandering if anyone knows much about LaRoche College program! Starting in the fall, excited and scared out of my mind! I just have the clinical part to do! Thank god! I was in CCAC before this and that program was horrible! Any advice! Thanks

HI...Good luck at LaRoche. Why did you leave CCAC and what campus did you attend? Please explain why you said CCAC was 'horrible'.

I am currently a CCAC student and I am very pleased with the program. I feel it is the best buy for the money I am spending. Are you enrolled at LaRoche for the BS degree?

Hi Fazed!

I went to Boyce campus last spring. There were many factors that I did not care for the program. There were many, many students that felt the same way that I did. The first thing is that they gave a drug calculations exam that were never taught to any of us. Luckily I work in the health care field and I knew how to do them. They did not require a pharmacutical math which I think they should for this reason. Students that failed it the second time of taking the exam were kicked out of the program. My clinical instructer at the time came into clinical and told us point blank to give you a heads up the next weeding out is the full time workers! Which really bothered me due to fact that some of us have to work to live day to day and this program was to suit the working people. I have a friend (who also was in the program) who know's a nurse practioner who was an instructer there a few years back that quit because she was handed a list of students to fail. She tried to get things done about it and got no where. I watched some students get singled out for asking questions because they did not understand something! Not all campuses are bad. I had a friend graduate from South and loved it. She said it was hard but they were more organized there. But I could go on and on with things that I saw there, but it's in the past! LaRoche just started an Associate's program 2 years ago, so I will be done May of 08. Eventually I will go on for my BS, but I'm taking one day at a time. I've already noticed a difference with LaRoche College in just the way that they talk to you. I wish you the best of luck. If CCAC doesn't work out for you, talk to LaRoche or even St. Margaret's my sister in law goes there and loves it. She will be graduating in 10 weeks. Best of luck!
