Nursing student needs help with needle definitions:)

Hi, I am an LPN student and have a list of definitions to look up for Pharm I pertaining to needles. I can't find these definitions anywhere and what tidbits I do find are kind of confusing to me as I haven't had my injection lab yet or a thorough lecture on syringes and needles. So, if anyone can help me with a few definitions I would appreciate it very much:)

1.) Lever-arm

2.) Safety glide

3.) Safety sleeve

These are different types of safety shields for needles. Try looking up safety devices for needles on the net.

Thank you Flying Scot, I think I was using the wrong terms when searching the internet. I tried " safety devices for needles" like you suggested and got what I needed:D
