Nursing Student from China, becoming a registered nurse in CA

Hi everyone,

I have a friend and she is currently studying to become an RN in China. She is enrolled in a BSN program right now. Someday she would like to become an RN in california. Does anybody know how she would do that? what kind of forms or requirements and steps are necessary? And other than concurrency issues, are there any other things to look out for, because the CA board of nursing may ding you for it? Does anyone out there have any stories about students from China applying to take the NCLEX-RN in california and how that worked out for them? If anyone can help answer any of these questions that could be greatly appreciated. Thank you! =)

Until she is in the US with a US SSN she can not apply to CA.

Once she has graduated she needs to check state requirements and probably look to a state that will assess their transcripts without needing a US SSN
