Nursing Shoes

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys use for shoes to work? When I first started working as a CNA I began using Sanitas and transferred to Danskos after getting my nursing position however I noticed after getting the Danskos my back problems became worse to the point I ended up selling them second hand. Now I use an old pair of Jordan sneakers with insoles in them and I am much more comfortable with them. What do you use?

From my experience, Danskos are the worst! I rolled my ankle a few times in them even after they were fit at a proper store. Rolling my ankle inevitably has led to me tripping more times than not. I now wear Salomon trainer shoes, they were about $80 at REI and are soooo comfy.

I am in love with the Timberland Renova Pro. They are like baby bears nursing shoes, not too heavy, not too squishy, just right. I also like the alegria, but they don't have enough arch support for me to wear everyday. I have a of super cute klogs but the sole is squishy croc material and I do not corner well in them. Birkinstock has a line, can't remember the name, they are a little more firm with a touch or spring so good if you are doing a lot of shuffling and standing around a bed but for me they are too clunky for a lot of walking.
