Nursing Schools and TEAS / HESI Testing

So I have one more year to complete my prereq's . When should I take mt TEAS and HESI test? and When should I applying to nursing schools? My first choice would be UT Health and I would continue to work part-time. Any other tips or recommendations to any schools?

The school you are wanting to enter for the program should have it written out somewhere when you should take the tests. Like for my school I know they tell you try to take the initial TEAS at a certain time so you have time to take another before the deadline.

I applied to UTHealth and I took my HESI about a month before the application due date in March but I started studying for it around December. As for the Teas I took it like 2 weeks before the app due date with just about a month to study for it. When I was on my last semester of prereqs I only applied to UTHealth and since you dont have to apply to UT first, l applied when I started that semester but other schools like TWU require you apply to their main campus school, get accepted and then apply to their nursing school so I suggest you take their application deadlines into consideration as well.
