Nursing Schools in MA

Published

Hello,

Is anyone else frustrated that it seems like you need to take so many classes on top of the pre-reqs to be considered competitive as there aren't many slots open for nursing programs.

I'm currently attending BCC and couldn't apply for this Fall 2010 as I still needed to take A&P I which I am taking now. I have the majority of the courses done except for A&P II, Micro and an elective to complete the 10 courses that are told to take to be more competitive. I won't be able to apply until next year for Fall 2011. (hoping to get into the Fall class as have heard even with high GPA's and competitive courses it's still tough)

I'll basically be taking courses this Fall and next Spring that I won't even need towards the Associates in Nursing.

Has anyone have any suggestions for other colleges within Massachusetts/Rhode Island that are good schools with a great nursing program which may have Spring and Fall classes?

I'm trying to stay positive and have been online for the past couple of days researching other schools but my head is spinning. I wanted to know what your thoughts are and if you've been accepted into any nursing programs with more chances to get into a program.

Thanks in advance!
