After seeing most of these posts about fabrics, color, styles, etc I figured I would put my two cents in....
I have been in nursing school for about 2 yrs now and I love it. I love to help
people and this will allow me to finally make a difference. I always liked going to the
hospital when I was young (even though thats not typically a good thing!) and how well I was
always treated. The nurses used to make me feel comfortable and helped me be brave even
though I hate needles. (sorry for the why I am a nurse story!)
Now that I am actually learning to become a nurse its been so much fun, but yet soo
expensive. My school does not provide nursing uniforms or scrubs so I must buy them myself.
I have a local medical uniforms store that sells Dickies, Cherokee, and other brands but
they are expensive too. I turned to looking on the internet for cheap or discounted scrubs
and when you search for these brands you find a ton of different stores selling them but
most are close to the same price, sometimes cheaper but you have to pay for shipping!?! How
can I save money if I have to actually pay for more. After a bunch of time searching I found
a few sites that seemed to be cheaper than then others. For all of you fellow nurses out
there that want cheap scrubs, go to http://www.bestbrandscrubs.com. Best Brand Scrubs
carries Dickies, Tafford (awesome nursing scrubs), Cherokee, and other brands and its
actually cheap! They use Amazon checkout which we all know is secure and you can often use
Amazon coupons on top of any savings already applied.
Another site I found is http://www.bestofscrubs.com which has FREE SHIPPING all of the time!
How can you go wrong with that? Now they only have Cherokee Scrubs so if that is what you
like then buy them there. I dont know how often other nurses buy scrubs but I like to have
some for every holiday.
Well I just figured I would share those sites with everyone who is pinching pennies these
days and has to buy everything for nursing school or even working at a hospital. Besides how
boring is BLUE when you can buy any color you want as long as your allowed to?
If I find any more good sites that you can save money on medical uniforms or accessories I
will post again.
This site is great, I wish I would have found it a lot sooner!
Happy Nursing!
