Hello,
I have an interview coming up in a few weeks for admission into a nursing school. I've heard it's a group interview. Can somebody tell me how this works? I've never had one of these.
- Do they just throw out questions and you have to fight to answer them?
- Do they ask a question and go down the line of candidates?
- Are the questions typically the ones you see listed on YouTube videos and on this website?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Depends on the school. Usually what happens is you'll have a few applicants in a room and this can be anywhere between 3 -5 applicants. Could be more, could be less. You'll have a panel of either instructors, probably the dean or director of admissions, etc. The panel is usually at least 3 people, but I've heard sometimes it's even up to 5. I once had one with 4 people on the panel. Then either you'll all be asked the same question and have to answer it one by one OR you'll each be asked different questions and have to answer it. That's about it. Of course, they always ask you do not disclose the questions which is why I can't tell you what I've been asked in the past.
Questions can run the gamut. They can be situational, they might ask you about yourself, etc.. There's no telling what question you're going to get.
Good luck!
