Nursing School FBI Background check

will a fbi background check show medial history's or is it just work and criminal -thanks : )

It should just be criminal history (arrests, convictions, etc.).

Too funny - I just read the results of my background check today.

Mine wasn't done by the FBI, it was done by CertifiedBackground.com. It contained a history of my names; maiden, 1st husband, & 2nd husband and the addresses of where I lived going clear back to the 1980s.

It also contained criminal records. Speeding tickets were not included. :) There was no information regarding my employment history.

you got to read yours? Lucky girl (or boy-sorry). I have never gotten to read any of my checks, ever!

there are different "grades" of the background check. Maybe yours was not as intense as other states require. Basically the Board is looking for felons.

We did a two-part background check for school - Michigan State Police for criminal record (civil infractions* not included), and FBI for fingerprints. In any case, all they want is criminal background - they don't even care so much about employment history. If your screen name is any indication, you've probably already passed much more stringent screening vis-a-vis the Department of Defense. :)

* Michigan has a third tier of criminal penalty, the civil infraction, for moving violations issued to non-commercial drivers; these are not listed on your background check and are automatically expunged three years from citation. Your state's laws may vary.
