Nursing Research

Does nursing research have a place in the daily work of nurses?

With any unknown, our need for more information, nursing research is a situation by situational endeavor.

For example, as a new LPN back in the early '80's, I routinely researched meds, initially from the big, bulky PDR. Then, there came publications created specifically for nurses.

As an old, seasoned nurse in 2020, I continued my research via the WOW, to gain or insure knowledge, on almost a shift-by-shift basis.

thank you. teaching a nursing research course in a few weeks, and trying to think of how it can be applicable to all nurses, planning further education or not.
