Hey there everyone... I need your help.

I am just finishing up my last semester of pre reqs and at my current job I work on computers all day so I can listen to music, podcasts, books, ect... I am looking for help on things to listen to while I am working that will help me with the future. Nursing or healthcare related so I can feel like I am learning something. I get too antsy with music and comedy podcasts... I have 40hrs a week to listen to anything. I want to use that to my advantage and make the most of it. Learn as much as I can beforehand. I have my lectures from class that I listen to but I need/want more. If anyone knows of podcasts, books, or anything else that is good to listen to that teaches about anything health related please let me know. I need help!! :)

There are nursing CDs that you can purchase. They can be quite costly though. Typically they are used for reviewing for the NCLEX, but I'm a big advocate of studying for the NClEX from day 1. They are pretty much lectures on topics in med/surg. For example, one CD may go over the endocrine system, so it would teach about Diabetes. Another may go over the cardiovascular system so you would learn about those diseases and nursing treatments. Google "nursing CDs" or check it out on amazon.

Dr. Gerald Cizadlo!

He has a BAZILLION (more or less) podcasts on iTunes.

He's a professor, but was an RN prior to teaching. His lecture series on pathophysiology is brilliant.

And.. It's Free! :)

Thank you!!! Those are both super helpful! :)
