Hi everyone,
Yesterday,I was reading Nursing process,(Assessment,Evolution,Implementation, planning, and diagnosis). and my nephew who is 13 years old asked me a question '' Why are you highlighting those words ?,do you need to learn them by heart or just understuand the definition?''
How can you explain those words with simple definition, without using technicals terms?

it's a good test of your application of the material. what did you do? how do you understand these terms? these are concepts that you are going to hear from now until you retire from nursing and i'm not kidding. your introduction to the nursing process is how you are going to begin to learn critical thinking. you can start by looking up each word in a regular dictionary. you can then look up each word in the index of your nursing textbook and see what is written about them in there. if you have a copy of taber's cyclopedic medical dictionary or another medical dictionary you will also find definitions for some of these words.
not only do you need to learn these words by heart, but also you will need to know the correct sequence that they belong in and what occurs in each one of these parts of the nursing process.
happy studying!
