Nursing Prerequisites

Published

Hello,

I have two prerequisites left which are human physiology and general Microbiology. My original plan was take the classes at different semesters but I am not thinking about saving time and just taking both at the same time yet my question is, is that a good idea? or would it be smart to go with my original plan? I was also thinking about taking one of the prereqs during interession but I don't know?

In my opinion, with how competitive the programs are, you want to aim for getting an A in both courses. Now Microbiology isn’t extremely hard, but physiology is a course that you would want to focus on individually. There is a whole lot to grasp and I think it’s better to assure you get a good grade in both, than to try to rush and risk getting a lower grade just because you’re trying to save yourself time.

This is true I took two at the same time (the final was super tough for micro though) Micro isn't hard but it does get tricky during the third test , when I took AP and Micro I did well but most of my time went towards  AP.

I'm currently taking both A&P2 and Microbiology, along with working full time. It's tough because they're both interesting classes with lots of work, but not impossible. Time management and setting aside specific times each day to study for each course really helps me out.
