If you already have a lot of debt, seriously consider that when choosing which programs to apply to. I wouldn't do an accelerated program that costs an arm and a leg. Also, you should get your CNA first just to find out if you like it, it is a big shock at first. Me personally, I also had a prior degree and I am going the community college route and working 1/2 time in an office for $25 an hour, but also seeking a CNA position at the same time for experience and will pick up those shifts on the weekend. It is very doable to work a part time job and go to school to avoid too much debt.

I am seriously thinking about going back to nursing school. I have an economics B.A. and an MBA, and I've had a few years of experience in the corporate world. My jobs have not been satisfying. I want to help people, and learn more at the same time. My mom always wanted me to go into nursing but I was young and dumb and didn't think I would ever do it. Now that I see what kind of job stability is out there for nurses and how rewarding their job can be, I want to do it. I am only 25, but I still feel like I might have missed the boat.
Also, how do you pay to live during nursing school? 2 years without an income seems impossible to me! Loans? How did you all do it?
Thanks!
