Nurses' Mandatory Continuing Education Research Survey link: http://www.itd.depaul.edu/quickdata2/viewwebform.asp?id=6872
You are being asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Kimberlee Upcraft and Jennifer Elvikis under the direct supervision of Barbara Harris, Assistant Visiting Professor, at DePaul University. We are asking you because we are trying to learn more about nurses' attitudes toward continuing education, whether attitudes are correlated with certain demographics and perceived barriers to accessing continuing education. This study will take about 10-15 minutes of your time. If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that has been created using QuickData. The questionnaire will include questions about demographics such as education level, area of practice, number of years in practice, gender, and state you practice in; attitudes and opinions regarding continuing professional education; types of education modalities utilized; and barriers to accessing continuing education. You can choose not to participate. There will be no negative consequences if you decide not to participate or change your mind later.
You can withdraw your participation at any time prior to submitting your survey. If you change your mind later while answering the survey, you may simply exit the survey. Once you submit your responses, we will be unable to remove your data later from the study because all data is anonymous and we will not know which data belongs to you.
If you have questions about this study, please contact Kimberlee Upcraft [email protected]; Jennifer Elvikis at [email protected]; or the faculty sponsor Barbara Harris at [email protected]. If you have questions about your rights as a research subject, you may contact Susan Loess-Perez, DePaul University's Director of Research Protections at 312-362-7593 or by email at [email protected].
You may keep this information for your records.

Your only choices for the first question, educational level, are BSN and MSRN
So ... you don't want anyone without at least a BSN to take the survey?
And you don't want anyone with a doctorate to take it?
If that's the case, maybe your post / cover letter should state that. If that's not the case, you should give instructions how the rest of us should handle that question.

Please share the results as soon as possible. Very curious.
Thank you everyone, for your interest in the research.
llg- Thank you for your response, as this is a very good suggestion. We are currently looking for BSN and MSN prepared nurses for the survey; I will change the text of the post for future posts to reflect this.
evanlee- Thank you for your interest, the completion of our project will occur over the next several months.

I would recommend putting this in the Nurses tab then since most of the "students" on this area of allnurses are going to be those going for their BSN. Just a recommendation.
