Nursing job - Reposted over and over in the same month?

Published

An operating room nursing job I applied for mid july initially had a closing date of one week and I received an interview on the closing date about three weeks ago.

I was told my the hiring manager interviewers are being scheduled well into August and a final decision will be made at this time. A few weeks after the manager told me this a new position was reposted however the closing date was for a month vs a week.

Today I noticed two other positions with a weeks closing date however one was part-time and the other full-time. All these postings had different numbers. Is it safe to say I'm out of the running I don't know what to think as I really want this position!!

It's safe to say that I don't know what to say, because I can't understand what you're trying to say. Totally incoherent. Try again.

What I read is that you applied for an OR nurse job, interviewed, and are still waiting for a decision...but meanwhile, two postings for OR nurse jobs (one PT, one FT) went up. And you're concerned that this is the facility's way of telling you, "No."

The answer to that question is...who knows? It could be that they didn't want you after all. Or perhaps they want to interview more candidates. Or perhaps they are required by HR/the union to repost the position. Or perhaps there is more than one position vacant. There's lots of possibilities here.

I would ask HR/the hiring manager about the status of your application.

Best of luck.

From what I take from your post I would say that I would not assume that you are out of the running. I would think that the hospital just posted more position because they need more people. If I were you I would apply for all the positions! If you do not get the one that you applied for maybe they will reconsider you for another position if they see your name on the list and it shows that you are ready to work wherever they put u.
