Nursing job fair, should i recently graduated but i am not an RN yet?

Published

So there is a few nurses job fairs going on in my states and I am not sure if I should go because i recently graduated (BSN) but I have not taken my nclex test yet. I should be taking it in between july to Aug i am just waiting on my ATT.

However I have 4 years of experience as a hospital Corpsman (like and LPN but is allow to do more nursing related duties like IV's, NG tubes, etc etc without supervision) in the navy that i work for the ER and I graduated with high honors from nursing school.

i just dont want to waste their time. Will it be useful for me to go or are they gonna tell me to come back when I get my license?

Depending on where you live and how big the need for nurses in your area is, job fairs can be either just mass information sessions about what hospitals are in the area and they do not take resumes or they can be legitimate fairs where hiring managers actually speak to you and will take your resume and keep you in mind.

Either way it's worth it to go. Bring a lot of resumes and do research on who/ what will be there, but also don't get your expectations very high unless you live somewhere where there is a huge need for nurses.
