ATTENTION OHIO NURSES-NURSING SHORTAGE

Nurses Safety

I just read an article from Health Leaders that said your Congressman, Dennis Kucinich (D. Ohio) held a summit in Cayahoga County to discuss ER's going on bypass. He also brought up the Nursing shortage, and said he was willing to take any suggestions back to Washington. His comment was, "Help me. I'm willing to pick up the ball on that." So...HELP THE MAN!. Let him know your ideas, and what you want!! I did! You can e-mail him using the friendly form @ http://www.house.gov/writerep/

JFR, I dont think that meeting was as productive as it was made to sound. Thats all I'll say for certain reasons.

Well we will se what happens. I wrote my congressman, about the diversion issues, as well as the reasons for them (i.e. lack of beds, staffing shortages, etc).

I wrote my congressman too last month and never heard a peep from him ( I am still waiting)and I took care of his mother-in-law( in Critical Care) and had very detailed examples of how staffing and the shortage was impacting our good care.Maybe the response is in the mail....I guess they (the congressmen) can't say they have not heard from their people! It was a very professional letter,(I thought).....We have to keep trying. imaRN :)

Greetings All Nurses,

I wrote my Congress Woman Debra Pryce since you must write the Congress man/woman in your district, using the link provided above. But I made a reference to the original statement of Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D. Ohio) I hope somebody really reads these messages!

Peace,

Jami :)
