Nursing issues ideas?

I have to write a literature review paper in one of my classes and I just am stuck on ideas for the paper.

For example, nursing shortages was one that was given by the teacher. I don't want to do that one because it seems a lot of people may do that one.

I was going to do something on physician assisted suicide/euthanasia, but my teacher said its to broad and difficult regarding the ethical sides of it.

I am not thinking something to do with bullying between nurses. But I am not sure.

Do you guys have any interesting ideas? I don't know if it helps, but I live in Canada.

Thank you for your help =)

First there is no nursing shortage right now....it drives me to distraction to hear the educated professionals are supporting this myth.

I think assisted suicide is a good topic if you narrow it down some to a religious population in your area. I am confused that she thinks the ethical side is difficult for isn't medicine's first rule "Do no harm?"

There is a ton of information about NETY (nurses eating their young) or Lateral violence in the nursing profession.

What about staffing ratios it is big here in the US.

Maybe do your paper on the myth of a nursing shortage? Depending on how you think your professor would react lol.

Perhaps it is different in Canada about the nursing shortages?

Oh yeah staffing mix is getting big here. They are hiring more LPNs than RNs. That may be a possibility. Thank you for the ideas

and NurseP00kie, that would be nice, but I rather not push my professors buttons. Some are very stuck in their views and I still want to get a good mark. hahahah.
