Nursing In Riyadh

Dear all,

Is there anyone out there with experience of working in Saudi Arabia [or know where I can get information] and who are willing to share this. I am an experience nurse and am considering this option at the moment. I am currently working on an acute surgical ward with some high dependency beds.

Hi, I haven't worked in KSA but I have been to Dhahran, on the east coast quite alot and I did work in Bahrain as a nurse for 2 1/2 yrs and have been all ove the Middle East. I have friends who work and have worked in Riyadh. What sort of information do you want? I can give you an idea about culture and can seek out other info for you.

Scattycarrot, thank you for the reply. I am at the information gathering stage - so things like how the healthcare systems work, what are the differences, what to do with free time. I note you were in Dhahran, I am looking at there as a possibility. Any good reading material you might suggest
