According to the article, it seems likely that there will be advanced degrees required or at least more certifications, or continuing education in order to maintain or even to apply for jobs, seeing as how the world is getting to be very competetive and only going to become more so in the future. In the field of nursing, this is most definitely true if you want to advance your career. Things are changing up and getting outdated so fast that it almost becomes like a continuous educational journey to keep up with the new technology and programs(which are supposed to make things really easier) not always. I do agree with it.
I heartily agree... at least for the more desireable positions. To compete with the hoards of new grads, established nurses, foreign nurses flooding the market, you will need EVERY advantage you can get. As full time positions become part-time, as competition raises for every position, as healthcare costs continue to rise, it will become even MORE cut throat to get a position.
