Nursing Homes Follow-Up Visits Pay

Published

Hi,  I am an Adult-Geri NP in Illinois (graduated 2015).   I do have psych background/experience as well.  Recently a psychiatrist asked me if I would be interested to work for him part-time and see patients for follow-up visits in nursing homes. He mentioned something about seeing 4 patients an hour so 15 min visits... And said hourly rate was about $60.   To me that comes up to $15/patient, which I think is very little.   A few other NPs suggested I ask for 70/30 of $85-100/hr.  No benefits but would ask for license, DEA, CE, uniforms etc.   Please let me know your thoughts.  Thank you!!
