Nursing Fellowships vs. Tuition Reimbursement

Published

:uhoh3: I am starting Nursing in 3 weeks. I work as an emergency room tech at a hospital that offers Tuition Reimbursement up to $3000 a year. There are also fellowships that pay up to $7000 a year.

My dilemma is that, I can use the Tuition Reimbursement and that will cover most of my expences but I will have to pay out of pocket a couple hundred for supples. If I choose to do the fellowship, I am obligated to work for the hospital for 2yrs post graduation, but every last penny is covered. This is not always a bad thing since I am gauranteed a job  but I can't see obligating myself for just a financial difference of 2 or 3 hundered dollars.

I kind of want my options to be open when I graduate. I think I'm just gonna' do the reimbursement. :roll

Anyone have the same dilemma or any advice

If you do not need to limit yourself to one facility when you graduate, don't.

Simple as that. :)
