Great resource!

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

Identify the importance of weight management.

Recognize the health risks associated with overweight and obesity in adults.

Illustrate the key determinants of patient assessment for treatment of overweight individuals or obesity.

Recognize the motivations as well as the barriers to successful weight loss.

Discuss the roles of lifestyle therapy that includes caloric reduction, physical activity, and behavioral therapy in treating overweight and obese patients.

Recognize those cases where adjunctive therapies such as pharmacotherapy and weight loss surgery may be needed and oversee that therapy.

Use the treatment algorithm to determine who to treat, when to treat and how to treat overweight and obese patients.

Identify appropriate lifestyle treatments and recognize those cases where adjunctive therapies may be helpful and necessary.

Thanks! I'm having to download an update of Real Player, but as soon as that's done, I'll be starting Module One.....

Seems to be for docs. ("If you were this patient's physician, what would your assessment be?")

I wonder if there is a way to know if the CE works for RN's who complete the modules....

Still a good resource.
