Nursing Education in Aus and USA

Hi,

I am due to start my Bachelor of Nursing next year and am in the process of starting a resource library. I would like to know if there are any major differences in nursing education between USA and here as I see a lot of Nursing text books that are American, I would like to know how relevant they will be.

There are few Australian texts and yes there is some gaps between the theory as stated in American texts and the reality of Australian nursing. However this is not a huge gap and your university should work around this.

Hi

I am final year student nurse in New Zealand and to tell u the truth we use some American books as well. It is not about what books we use i suppose it's the concept behind it. Hope that was helpful.
