Nursing Diagnoses Help!

I have to do a research project over cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) aka, "stroke"

One of the requirements is to list nursing diagnoses prioritized by the ten body systems (I have to use all ten) and I'm having trouble...

Here's what I've got so far:

1. Nervous

2. Cardiovascular

3. Respiratory

4. Musculoskeletal

The others listed are: Endocrine, Integumentary, Gastrointestinal, Urinary, Immune, Reproductive.

I'm also having troubles with nursing diagnoses in general... any suggestions on the topic above and/or on nursing diagnoses???

Anything will be helpful... Thank 'yall!

When you do this assignment think about what happens to the body when a pt has a CVA (cerebral: r/t to the brain, vascular: r/t the heart and blood vessels ). Read up on the topic in your textbook to see what is affected ( all body systems are affected). From there formulated your nursing DX on each problem associated with each system affected. What happens when something interferes with your normal brain functions? What is connect to the brain? (spinal cord, spinal nerves, ect.) What are some potential problems that could develop when there is a disturbance in your vascular (heart) system?

Breaking the Dx down like this, allows you to think about what happens to the body when one system is disrupted. ALL systems work together so when one system is affected it snowballs down to every other one. Use your critical thinking skills and you will be just fine.

Best of luck to you.
