Nursing Dedication

Hi,

I volunteered to be the rep for my nursing class and now need to put together the ceremony for our nursing dedication in February. Has anyone else had their dedication "capping" ceremony yet? If so, I would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks,

I haven't had mine yet but I assisted on one recently. What is it you would like to know?

These are some things that were done at the one I assisted with set-up. There was a PowerPoint of students along the way, the class being pinned" There was a section of video clips where someone went around to the spouses and family and they said encouraging words to their "student." (This was very touching). Each student nurse had written an "I wish" statement (Like I wish for each of us to find our true happiness, statements for the student nurses) and those were read along with the "I wish" statements from the instructors to the students. These were read by the Nursing student President. Family was invited. The pinning portion was by candlelight. It was tested to make sure there was enough lighting for a video recording. The night was recorded and each student given a dvd of the night. Each student was given a gift pack, I don't recall all the things in there but they got salons to donate a free haircut, a massage place gave free 30 minute massage, all the things were donated. The students presented the instructors each with a plaque that had a stethoscope on it as part of the plaque, very neat.

If you state more specifically what you would like to know I am sure others will be able to assist you more.
