I have my A.A.S. in Surgical Technology. Planning on going back to school for Nursing and was wondering if the new LPN to BSN program with no waitlist at Berkeley college is a good way to go? Or should I just apply for the RN program at PCCC and put my name on the 2yr + waitlist and start my pre-reqs? Need some honest advice or suggestions. Im not sure which route to take...

Are you an LPN? If not, it would not appear that you qualify for the new program. Although Surgical Technology is certainly involved in direct care, it is not equivalent to LPN scope of practice.

I am enrolled in the LPN program now. I start later this month. I plan on going back for the LPN to BSN bridhe program after completing my 1st year as an LPN.
