Brit Educated in U.S. looking for Options in Aus

Hi everyone,

So I am in a pickle, because I am a British national who has been educated in the U.S. I am currently in the last few courses of my BSN degree, and am already looking at my options. As everyone knows, the U.S. immigration is a bundle of red tape and at this point I am only guaranteed 12 months work experience after graduation. Thus, I am looking at where I can go after that point.

Burning questions I currently have:

What nursing areas are in high demand right now? Most job opportunities?

I know there are territories, but are there any real differences in the territories? Scope-of-practice wise?

As far as what a U.S. nurse can do vs. what an AUS nurse can do, are there any differences? I know that in the U.K. nurses can do a lot more autonomously without orders, in the U.S. the scope of practice is smaller because of lawsuits etc. (or at least that is what I was told in school, although nurses are no less incapable in the U.S. don't get me wrong)

Is there an amount of experience required before filing to ANMC? I'll only have 12 months under my belt by the time I can actually move, even less if I have to apply early.
