Nursing Article Contest Spring 2015: Win $150!

After such a long and bitter winter for many of you, who’s ready for Spring? Although Spring weather may not have arrived in your community, it's time for the 2015 Spring Article Contest. We invite everyone to participate. Nurses Announcements Archive Article Contest

We had so many wonderful articles submitted from the previous contest. The winning articles have been selected based on your votes of The top 10 articles Wouldn't you like to be a winner in the Spring Contest? For inspirations, read the top 10 articles. Then....start writing your article(s) for the Spring Contest!!


We had great participation in the Winter Contest and we are hoping that even more members will get creative and be inspired to write an article (or articles) for the Spring Contest. The top four articles will each win $150. The winners will be selected by the members in a poll.

Nursing is a profession that can have a lasting impact on many people. Your role as a nurse, in whatever field you are in, can make a difference in the lives of patients, families, and communities. We are looking for articles that exemplify the educational, inspirational, and positive aspects of nursing.

Next month is Nurses Day/Week. It is a time when others can express their appreciation to the nursing profession. One of the topics we invite you to write about is Nurses Day/Week. What does it mean to you? What expressions of appreciation have you had that meant a lot to you....not just on Nurses Day, but throughout the year?

Also coming up in May, allnurses will once again be attending the National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition in San Diego. We would like to highlight critical care articles.

Articles can encompass daily work, past experience, education, study tips, technology, etc. With this contest you can write about anything. In the past, we have excluded certain forums from the contest. However this time all nursing forums are open.

Although all nursing topics will be accepted for the contest, here are some suggested topics:

  • Critical Care
  • Appreciation
  • Nurses' Day/Week
  • Personal professional victories
  • Hope
  • Giving Back
  • Student stories

Articles must be submitted between April 1st - June 30th.

4 winners will be chosen with a total cash value of $600! Each winner rewarded $150!

You will help select the winners - a Top 10 poll will be available at the end of the quarter. The winners will be announced 2-3 weeks later.

Contest Rules:

  • Article tone and content must comply with our contest rules and Terms of Service.
  • Articles must have a minimum of 600 words and be nursing-related..
  • Articles must be submitted between April 1st - June 30th.
  • No plagiarism - your article must be written in your own words.
  • Articles will be reviewed and approved by staff for consideration before displaying publicly.
  • Articles must be unique, articles should not be listed on other websites, blogs, article sites etc. prior to posting on allnurses.
  • You may submit multiple articles.
  • You grant permission to allnurses.com rights to publish in magazines, books, etc. You will be notified and credited if published.
  • Keep personal formatting choices such font choice and size to a minimum - use only for headings.
