Nursing Advice

Okay, Well I'm a senior in high school and I was looking to apply to Miami-Dade's Nursing program for I hear that it is one of the best. But as I was looking at the application it asks me what Degree I was to give and It starts to name AA and all the other ones. It blew my mind, to top that off I saw Nursing Generic full time and part time then accelerated pre-select. >: I am so confused I still want to be an RN but I don't know in what direction to head in. Please someone HELP!

In our profession there are several different paths to becoming a nurse. It is really screwed up. There are LPNs, RNs with associate degrees, RNs with bachelor degrees and finally advanced practice (an entirely different ball of wax). It seems that (from the website: http://www.mdc.edu/medical/Nursing/) Miami Dade offers both LPN and RN associate paths. If you want to go to this school AND you want to be an RN choose the generic path. Go full time if you want to finish sooner, go part time if you want to take it easy hangin' with all the hotties and their 'enhanced' mammary glands at South Beach. Good luck dude.
