To Whom It May Concern,

Since the tragedy of 911,' all we hear is about our firefighters and police but, what about the hundreds of nurses that were there or on call 24/7? I live just outside of Fredericksburg and all my colleagues and I immediately went on notice.

We may not have been called but we were ready, willing, and able. I personally am an Acute-Sub Acute Care Nurse in LTC (Long term Care) and all nursing disciplines were available upon a moments notice.

There were many heroes, heroine'e, and heroism then as today; just go into any hospital, nursing facility anytime, or any day and you'll find them.

It seems our PROFESSION isn't; until the PROFESSIONALISM is needed.
