Global AIDS Action Quilt - Consider Getting Involved

11/19/02

Health Action AIDS, a project of Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) and Partners in Health, is organizing an AIDS advocacy quilt to create a symbolic visual display of health professionals' call to action in support of measures to fight HIV/AIDS. Across the United States, representatives from medical, nursing, and public health schools and associations are creating quilt panels to help raise health professionals' awareness about the devastation caused by the pandemic and to increase health professionals' involvement in the fight against global AIDS. The final product will be displayed nationally on April 7 during the DC Day of Advocacy and Education in Washington, DC. Find out how you can get involved by visiting http://www.healthactionaids.org.
