Type 1 diabetic needs advice!

How do I answer this question For the state nursing board as a Type 1 diabetic? I am in good control but don't want to be labeled for future jobs or prevented from getting my license.

Have you been diagnosed with, do you have, or have you had a medical, physical, mental or emotional or psychiatric condition thatmight affect your ability to safely practice as a registered nurse?

Anyone a type 1? I'm worried about my physical as well! I have so anxiety!

Being type 1 won't affect you from getting your license. I'm type 1 also and I included it in my information because it's a disease. But they cannot discriminate against you for being type 1 diabetic.

Thanks! The words "that might affect your ability to safely practice as a registered nurse" scare me!

I have an insulin pump & CGM so I always know where my bg is & if it's rising or dropping. I really feel that my diabetes will not affect my ability to safely practice as a RN.

I really wish I could afford a pump. I'm an LPN at a nursing home and currently in RN school. Flexpens are annoying ugh

You answer no. There's no medical condition that might affect your ability. You have every reason to believe you are in good control and would be aware if something was wrong.
