Nurses representing themselves in front of BON

I've spent the past couple of days listing to audio files of administrative court procedings of nurses vs the Boards of Nursing. These were nurses who were getting their liscenses revoked, in most cases becasue they didn't follow the requirements of the consent decree they signed with the BON and now the BON was after their liscense.

Representing yourself will only make you look like an idiot and you will loose. I have some suggestions. Get your own insurence, don't depend on the hospitals. You want insurence that will help yo defend your license. Defending yourself isn't like it looks like on TV. The rules of evidence and what it takes to be found guilty isn't as stringent.

PLEASE get your own liability insurence, Find a way to pay the $100 a year or so that it will cost. Dont under any circumstances, try to defend yourself in court.
