Seeking RN License in NJ & RAMP

I've seen a handful of the same questions on this site about the NJ Board of Nursing requiring applicants to undergo an evaluation with RAMP before they issue a license due to something in a background check. Is there anyone out there who completed this specific process? How long were you in RAMP? Did you get your nursing license?

Thanks everyone!

Hey! I just came across this and sorry for the late response. I have met other nurses in NJ with criminal backgrounds that were issued a NJ nursing license. Being in RAMP depends on what and how long ago the offense was. Most likely once you put in your application, the BON will either accept your app and give you a license with no restriction or refer you to RAMP. It seems like RAMP doesn't have a standard approach to contracts so length of time will vary case by case. My personal experience is different because I didn't have a record but did have prior non-disciplinary action in another state.

Hey @LindsayRNL! I’m going to be starting RAMP in the next several months, moving from a different states monitoring program and have some questions. I can’t figure out how to PM on here, do you mind PMing me so we can get a convo going? I’d really appreciate it, thanks in advance!!!
