Hello!
I would like to know if there is a Philippine law that protect nurses from the unnecessary harassments by patients and/or their families in the hospital. I am quite aware that are nurses we should accept what patients and their families express to you but what if try are already crossing the line and verbally hitting you below the belt?
Thanks

Yes lien..That is sooo typical in our profession..If these polices were strictly implemented, then a lot of hospitals should have been investigated long before for doing such violations(understaffing, not following correct nurse:patient ratio, exploitation, not following the standard pay for nurses and the list goes on and on and on and on....)!
Frustrating isn't it? That we have these laws and policies that should "protect" us but we know that it wont do anything? Maybe that's why a lot of cases are left forgotten because they know that pursuing the complaints wont do anything to solve the issue...
Sorry if I sound really pessimistic..:stone
