My Coworker was recently attacked by a patient. She is on light duty and suffered significant neck trauma related to the strangulation. Workmens Comp will only pay her 66% of her wage. It seems very unfair that she will have financial hardship for being attacked at work. Is there any organizations to help wounded nurses financially.

I was on WC briefly - it's 66% of gross wages and is supposed to approximate take-home pay after taxes and before deductions for benefits. Your friend should check with HR and her WC claim advisor regarding maintaining benefits, etc, while disabled.
