Well after no time off since Surgery 18 months ago, I am finally going on vacation. The entire office will be closed for Winter Break 1/22-1/31/11. We have never all taken off since we started 9 years ago. It has been a long road organizing a successful business and I am grateful for the great instructors and support staff who have sewed into the Nurse Refresher Program and my vision of educating and empowering in-active nurses and creating a venue for them to make a return to competent practice. I have learned so much in this time about not only starting, managing, and marketing a business but, the value of surrounding yourself with good people. I make less now than I have on any job I have ever had but, am the most satisfied I have ever been. When, you are on the right path you just follow where the Lord leads you and you never go wrong. This is the first time I am leaving without my Blackberry or my laptop. You guys pray I do have seizures or something. LOL. I plan to do every legal thing there is to do on vacation. Until, February you guys be good to yourselfs, love your families, and protect your nursing license.

TexasNurseEducator,

Have a wonderful vacation :D and let others care for you! Leave that

BB and laptop home. And I hope you are headed for warm sunny

beautiful weather. (Please don't take the plane to New England, looking

ahead to more snowstorms this week here!).

Please give us an update after your break! Have a fun and safe trip!

Soooo...how did it go? Were you able to actually leave work behind?

Soooo...how did it go?

No word from TexasNurseEducator via Blackberry or laptop.

Nursing assessment: Tolerating vacation well, continue with current plans...:jester:

Hey you guys, the smooth jazz cruise was great!!! Pics attached, more to come. I ate too much, slept too little, had oodles of fun dancing to Boney James, Jonathan Butler, Candy Dulfur, Marcus Miller, George Duke, Brian McKnight, Norman Brown, and many more. Sorry for delay in responses. I left everything so, now have over 200 emails and 64 calls to return. I am pedaling as fast as I can. Also, was with friend who had anerysym repair surgery this am. Kudos to OR volunteer, Janet at St. Lukes Episocpal Hospital Houston. She was cheery, helpful, and if we had more like her some of us might be out of a job. So, will try and post more details by the weekend.
