So this is partially just a general question but how likely are you go get a job working with a recruiter vs applying directly to the hospital?
Specifics for asking the question:
I have just recently started applying out of state, I live in south Florida and there is a huge surplus of nurses. I've been applying for years with only a hand full of interviews. Regardless I used Indeed to look up possible job opportunities I came up with a few one of which was in Springfield Il which had multiple positions. They had recently opened up a wing so they had a lot of opening. I was called up only after a few hours of applying.
I figured the guy was with HR for the hospital because of how knowledgeable he was about the hiring process and it honestly sounded like a too go to be true opportunities. Mostly because I've only worked as a school nurse and he was talking about relocation bonus and potential covering cost to fly my up to see the hospital and meet the staff. It all sounded great! But then saw his Email was linked to a staffing agency. I still have to interview with the floor manager to try and get an offer for the job. (The positions is night shift on a med-surg floor where there are 8 openings)
I'm cautiously optimistic about the chance and praying that it does pull through... I'm also fairly paranoid from 3 years of having interviews and then never getting a call back.
