FNP skills

  1. how do you know what you can and can't do in your state? for instance a procedure like a paracentesis. if you feel comfortable performing the skill and have been trained by a md, is that enough? i live in tn and have not seen such specifics outlined. (i'm going to take the fnp boards in feb 07)

Hmmm - in my little area of the country (central IL), I had to be credentialled by each hospital and right on the credentialling paperwork was listed EXACTLY what I was credentialled to do...hope this helps.
