Hello everyone, I have been practicing as a RN for 12 years now, prior to getting my license, I had a couple of criminal offenses on my record. I declared them both and had no trouble getting approved for my license. Now I am just looking ahead and wondering if anyone else has had to declare the same offenses for the advanced practitioner license? I was wondering if getting them expunged would even be worth it? I am in Texas if that helps. So to simplify what I am asking, has anyone had to first declare criminal offenses to obtain their RN, and then later declare the same offenses to obtain their advanced practitioner license? If so, was it the same process? Were you worried about anything possibly getting denied?

Thanks in advance!

Were you able to get your license? I have an arrest history with no conviction. I was released immediately and no charges filed. This was in CA and the charges were sealed but still shows up on my background check for the arrest. I notified the TX BON and I finished school in August. I applied October 10th and I attached the sealed record with the BON application. The TX BON told me they are reviewing my information due to the arrest record. What happens after this? They told me it takes 30 days and working days which puts me right around December 2nd. Will they approve me to test?

Did you ever make any progress on this?  Were your charges expunged?

I am wondering the timeline on something like this.

Thanks for your help
