Is this some sort of aptitude test?

What do you mean by "an HR?"

HR- human resource. i am not sure but it sounds to me like a test or like an nclex type of questions. maybe its more on med surg exams. i didnt realize that even you passed the nclex, you still need to take exams prepared by the hospital.

I know that HR means human resources but I was not clear who this HR was about whom you were speaking.

Am I to understand that you're an RN and you've applied for a job with an employer who wants you to take some tests as part of the selection process?

I've not heard of any of the hospitals around here doing that. In my former field I have been given both subject-matter tests and personality-profile tests as part of the selection process.

Have they given you any guidance regarding the content of the exams?

Here's a link for DDI http://www.ddiworld.com/pdf/nursingcareerbattery_hc_fs_ddi.pdf - they administer a type of NCB (nursing career battery.) It should give you a good idea of what it includes... it's nothing like NCLEX, just assesses judgement in common situations and profiles your personality. Hope this helps and good luck!

after the interview they never called me for the nurse career battery exam, so i never had the chance to know what it is all about. but thank you for sharing it.

it is an aptitude test that is very selective in choosing candidates for job interviews. examples can be found on DDI solutions.com........i have 30 years experience and failed mine and if u don't pass u cannot reapply for the job for 6 months to a year. good luck
