I am attending college to become a school RN. Today I have an interview at an elementary school for the position of nurse assistant. I believe this would be a great opportunity for me to gain experience. I am a new grad out of the nurse assistant program, so the only experience that I have is the clinicals that I received in the program. If anyone knows what kind of questions will be asked at the interview that would be very helpful. That way I can go in a little prepared.
Thanks

i was a school health assitant in oregon. Mainly the focus was on knowing what was beyond your scope of practice and needed to be referred to the RN. Also follwing direction and delegation rules and using your protocols and common sense when charting and sending students home and when to notify parents. It was a cool job and i only quit when i had my daughter to be a SAHM. THey want to hear when in doubt always refer to the RN, that you write legibly and understand that the students chart is confidential and that you are willing to learn and take direction from your nurse, whose lkicense you are working under. Good luck.
