Hello to all who be starting the RN-BSN program at UTA on August 13!

Started this thread so we can help each other out as questions arise during the course.

I will be working full-time and have a 21 month old at home. He is very easy going :) Hubby is very loving and supportive as well. Good luck to everyone!! :nurse:

Find the Reading List. I can't recall where it is exactly, but you should find it somewhere on the left hand yellow section....might be under Resources. Anyway, print that out and you can see all the articles for entire course. All can be found in the same way amyrnfa described and you can print those out, too. I used some material from the Chitty/Black chapter for my personal nursing theory paper.

I messed up sending my week 1 assignment in on plagarism. Somehow I submitted a blank document so I ended up having to email it to my coach. Still haven't received a grade yet. I sent her a message to let me know when she received the assignment that I sent to her Tuesday, but she hasn't responded to my email. Oh well. Hopefully she will send me my grade before the weekend!

Hi Rosemrn,

I'm sorry you had problems sending your assignment. I know how tricky that can be. I don't know if we are in the same class with the same coach or not. There may be 2 sections for this class. I know that allnurses doesn't allow you to mention the actual name of teachers in posts for everyone to read. If you are in my class, there was a message from our coach that said that some people had to send the assignment by e:mail and that she hadn't graded those yet. Did you see the same message? If so, then I'm sure she will get around to it. Sometimes I feel like the computer stuff is harder than the actually coursework. Stay strong.

I am currently in this class. It seems ok so far. The assignment for this week (an essay about my philosophy of nursing) really scared me but I did it and turned it in. Hopefully I get a decent grade.

Anyone else having trouble accessing EPIC login page. I get an error message that says something like can't find URL 404.

Let me know if you are having the same problem!!!!

I just finished my personal philosophy also and wasn't as bad as I thought. We will see what kind of grade I get. 1st APA paper ever! Now if I could just get into EPIC to submit it. Not sure what is wrong with the site that I am unable to access? Oh well. At least it is not Sunday night!

Hello, everyone! I don't start until Sept 24. This thread is awesome! I have to take technical writing before I can take Prof A. I taking it online. Has anyone taken it online through UTA who can give me some insight on it? Thanks!!

I've been on and off Epic all day w/ no problems. dont know what that is all about. did you ever get your grade on the last assignment?

Yeah, my paper is finished, too but will submit tomorrow. it's after MN here and too tired. hope all goes well w/ you.

welcome to the forum! I didn't have to take tech writing but a lot of people did, so hold on and I'm sure someone will answer you. I've received lots of help here and you will too. Strangers helping strangers is good karma.

No, still haven't received grade yet on assignment. Hate to bug the academic coach! After MN here also. Pooped and glad I ddn't get called into work tonight! Think I will hit the hay, then see if I can get on EPIC tomorrow. If not I will call someone with IT. Never had a problem before!
